BMW 1 Series

The BMW 1 Series, comes in 5 door hatch, 3 door hatch, Coupe and Convertible versions, the seller for the premium hatch is the front engined rear wheel drive transmission, BMW being the only premium hatch manufacturer which offer this traditional well balanced transmission setup.

I've been driving the 118D 5 door hatch back version, which is a good relaxing drive with great throttle control, responsive feedback from the steering and a better drive than the usual Front Engined Front Wheel drive hatches other than the the 4 wheel drive systems offered by VW groups 4Motion and Audi Quattro system's.











The BMW 1 series after options are added are expensive, though now on the second hand market good used deals can be found on AutoTrader and CarGiant.
