BMW 1 Series

The BMW 1 Series, comes in 5 door hatch, 3 door hatch, Coupe and Convertible versions, the seller for the premium hatch is the front engined rear wheel drive transmission, BMW being the only premium hatch manufacturer which offer this traditional well balanced transmission setup.

I've been driving the 118D 5 door hatch back version, which is a good relaxing drive with great throttle control, responsive feedback from the steering and a better drive than the usual Front Engined Front Wheel drive hatches other than the the 4 wheel drive systems offered by VW groups 4Motion and Audi Quattro system's.











The BMW 1 series after options are added are expensive, though now on the second hand market good used deals can be found on AutoTrader and CarGiant.

3 Skypephone - Mobile Phone

Three (3) phone network have teamed up with Skype the Voice over IP (VoIP) internet software company owned by eBay to create a mobile phone with Skype built in.



A single phone is available on contract (from £free) and pay as you go (£39.99) was (£49.99) and the twin pack is at (£69.99).

You can make Skype to Skype calls for free, but you do have to top up £10 per month to do so.

Skypeout doesn't work on the phone though, you can only call or chat with another user on Skype on PC or another Skype phone, however if you go for the dual handset deal then you and another friend or family member etc. can call eachother on Skype without having to log onto a PC.

Design Museum London

Design Museum London is currently showing the Richard Rogers + Architects from the House to the City from 24 April – 25 August.

Richard Rogers has had the most remarkable career in British architecture. Beginning with an extraordinary family house in Cornwall, then changing the shape of post-War architecture with the Pompidou Centre, he now heads up an international office that is busier than ever.

Recipient of the most prestigious distinction in international architecture, the 2007 Pritzker Prize, Richard Rogers is one of Britain’s most influential architects. Exceptional and high-profile projects include the headquarters for Lloyd’s of London, the Millennium Dome and the National Assembly for Wales. Rogers has established himself and his practice, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, at the very forefront of today’s architectural culture.
